MLoYM Chapter 29 – Young Master Said “I Will Guide You”

Just as Han Qingshan had said, clothes were waiting for her inside the room. Jiang Yingyue quickly locked the door and found the pants, her eyes narrowing and her lips pursing.

The pants she was supposed to wear were incredibly tight-fitting. If she really wore them, they would be showing off her curves and making her seem like an enchantress.

The top was a shirt, it was quite thin and rather tight-fitting. If she really was going to wear these clothes, her secret would be exposed right away.

Jiang Yingyue was aware of her body’s shape. When she was younger, it was quite easy to pretend to be a boy because her body was still underdeveloped. But now that time was over, and her body was not that easy to mask anymore.

Looking around, Jiang Yingyue considered her options. If she declined to wear the clothes, then Han Qingshan would find it somewhat odd, at the same time he would also be disappointed, and Jiang Yingyue did not want to disappoint him.

But wearing the clothes and exposing her gender? That was also impossible. After looking at the many clothes, her eyes landed on her jacket as if seeing her lifeline.

It was fall, so not many were wearing thick jackets yet, but the jacket she had was puffy and would only display her legs; it could cover her hips and waist.

Hesitating for a bit longer, she started changing into the clothes she had been provided with.

The pants were so tight that when she looked down and saw her long slender legs, she could not help but curse. However, there was no turning back, and she quickly changed into all the clothes. She also put her jacket on and dragged it as far down as she could, trying to hide as much of her body within it as possible.

Wearing the riding boots and looking at herself in the mirror, she felt that all her earlier excitement about riding was going out the window. How could she possibly maintain her secret with such a figure?

Resigned to her fate, Jiang Yingyue prayed that Han Qingshan was a little blinder than the average person, and she left the changing room.

When she saw Han Qingshan dressed up in riding attire she felt even more self-conscious, but fortunately, Han Qingshan did not observe her legs. Instead, he looked at her with a puzzled expression.

“Do you want to wear a jacket while riding?” He asked confused, but Jiang Yingyue nodded her head like a chicken pecking rice.

“I am cold,” she said, sounding anything but convincing. “And if I am thrown on the ground, then I will have some clothes to soften the fall.”

Her reasoning was all over the place, but she was fortunate that Han Qingshan had already accepted her gender as male and did not seem to be suspecting anything.

Seeing that his eyes were as trusting as before, she decided to wisely change the subject.

“Where are the horses?” she asked curiously. Han Qingshan chuckled when he saw her impatient and excited look. He could not help but feel that it was slightly cute, but he had always thought that this Jiang Yingyue was a very likeable young woman.

“Let us go to the horse paddock and pick out a horse each,” Han Qingshan said, and started walking towards the back of the facilities, behind the stables, where the horses were waiting for their riders to arrive.

Some of the young scions had their own horses stabled at the horse track, while others belonged to the facility itself. Han Qingshan had no personal horse as he had not been visiting the horse track as often as his peers.

Jiang Yingyue definitely did not have a horse, so she too needed to borrow a horse belonging to the facility.

An assistant was waiting for them at the paddock with a horse tack in his hands, ready to capture the horse that the young master had decided upon.

“Young Master Shan, would you like the chestnut stallion you used last time?” the attendant asked, making sure to sort a horse for Han Qingshan first and then he would attend to his companion afterwards.

“Get me that Palomino horse,” he said, and the attendant was somewhat surprised. “The American Quarter Horse?” he asked perplexed, as if he wanted to ensure that he was not mistaken.

“Right,” Han Qingshan nodded his head, but the attendant was even more confused. “Young Master Shan, you usually ride a Dutch Warmblood Horse, why would you suddenly want an American Quarter Horse?”

“It is not for me but for my friend,” Han Qingshan explained. “He has never ridden a horse before, so I think the Dutch Warmblood would be a bit too temperamental. I know the American Quarter Horse you have here at the facility are usually trained to be used by children, to teach them how to ride.”

Hearing Han Qingshan’s words, Jiang Yingyue felt slightly embarrassed. So she would be riding a horse that was meant for children? The worst part was that she could not say anything about it; everything that Han Qingshan said was true, she truly had never ridden a horse before.

“I understand, but what would you like to ride then?” the attendant asked, but Han Qingshan just waved his hand, “I won’t be riding for now, I will guide Jiang Fengmian on how to ride and show him from time to time. The American Quarter Horse will be enough for us.”

Just as the attendant looked at Jiang Yingyue perplexed, wondering how this young woman had managed to cause Han Qingshan to give her such preferential treatment, a voice could be heard from the back of the horse paddock, a voice that made Jiang Yingyue feel the anger rise uncontrollably within her.

“Young Master Shan, you are late.” The voice sounded coquettish, and when Jiang Yingyue and Han Qingshan looked towards the voice, what greeted them was He Yuyan coming towards them. She was riding on a great Belgian Warmblood, and following her was a whole entourage of rich scions.
