PCS chapter 22 – Revenge Against the Cousin

[Previous Chapter] [Next Chapter]

Qin Meixing placed her cauldron on the ground. She was slightly annoyed, but also rather happy. She had been looking for a chance to solve the mission that the system had given her for getting revenge against her cousin.

The system had not gone into detail with how she had to take her revenge, and Qin Meixing had been standing outside the building for some time to consider what would be the best revenge for Qin Chanjuan.

She was not able to kill Qin Chanjuan directly, but should she indirectly kill her? Should she perhaps just make her lose face? What was the best revenge against this shrewd and scheming woman?

The servants had already thrown everything out of the room, and the raging Qin Chanjuan was destroying the inner chambers.

Qin Meixing was not in a hurry. She was the master of this place when her grandfather was gone; it was only natural that she got revenge for what Qin Chanjuan had done to both her and her previous soul.

The cousin suddenly appeared in the door of the courtyard, her eyes narrowed as she looked at the stack of items that were thrown on the ground, and a malicious sneer appeared on her lips.

But when she saw that Qin Meixing was standing with her arms wrapped across her chest and a smirk on her lips, she suddenly had an illusion that something was wrong.

However, after a moment of thinking it through, the sneer on her lips just became even more mocking as she strode toward Qin Meixing.

“What are you smirking about?” she asked with a mocking voice, but Qin Meixing just continued to smirk and said nothing. She glanced at all the things on the floor, and there was a coldness in her eyes that cut through bones.

“Idiot, you don’t understand anything anyway; why are you the favored daughter of Grandfather?!”

“Are you jealous?” Qin Meixing’s voice suddenly cut through the mockery of Qin Chanjuan, and her words, which were said without any emotion, were much more painful than if she had mocked her with anything else.

“Who is jealous of you?!” Qin Chanjuan could not hold back her anger, and blue Qi appeared on her palm as she prepared to blast Qin Meixing to death, once and for all.

Qin Meixing did not move; her smile was cold, and white Qi gathered on her hand. She had never been in a real battle against another cultivator before, so she was not sure how she would fare against Qin Chanjuan who was at the third layer of the Body Tempering Realm; she, herself, was merely at the first layer.

But she was not a person who backed down, and she gathered her energy in one fist, which she clenched tightly. She took a fighting stance that she had learned in the research facility; a stance that allowed her body to explode with all the power it could possibly command. She merged this physical strength with her Qi, as she shot forward a fist as strongly as a cannonball.

Qin Chanjuan was snickering jokingly when she saw that Qin Meixing was fighting back. She did not take her seriously and laughed mockingly as she threw out her own punch with blue Qi of the water element covering her hand.

Qin Meixing’s eyes flashed with coldness, and she smirked evilly. She knew that nothing was better than being underestimated by others. When someone was underestimating others, they would likely end up with a painful lesson.

Qin Meixing was especially not someone to be underestimated. She might be amongst the weakest people in this world. Still, she should never be underestimated when one considered that she had been a member of the Research Facility for so many years, and she had survived multiple experiments, killed numerous people, and even learned how to be ruthless and cold for the sake of survival.

The two fists collided, and while every servant had expected to see Qin Meixing be flung back, her arm crippled, and her body in tatters, they were shocked by what truly happened.

The moment the two fists collided, a resounding boom exploded out, and a wind was raised from the impact.

Qin Chanjuan’s face was ugly, as she felt the impact of Qin Meixing’s fist attack. She was stunned for merely a fraction of a second before she was thrown backward due to the attack’s horrible impact.

Her body cut a sorry figure; her arm was broken, and the bone had shattered. Even though her cultivation base was still there, it would be impossible to become a true expert now unless it was healed, and to heal a shattered bone they would need a pill that was unavailable in the Xiyang Empire.

They would have to purchase it in the surrounding Empires that were more developed, but to go there and back would be a long trip, and there might be some aftereffects, even if she got the pill.

[Mission cleared! Revenge against Cousin Qin Chanjuan complete, seven mission points added, bringing up a total of nineteen points.]

Qin Meixing smiled sweetly, but to the servants and Qin Chanjuan, this smile was incredibly eerie, and they did not know what she planned.

“So, my dearest cousin, how does it feel to be beaten instead of giving out the beatings?” Qin Meixing asked with a brilliant smile on her face.

“By the way, do you want to pay for the losses I have incurred while you threw my things everywhere, or do you want me to destroy your spirit root as repayment?”

Qin Chanjuan’s eyes constricted when she heard Qin Meixing’s words, and she shivered. She knew that she was not joking, and this was making her feel horrified. Since when had Qin Meixing become so scary?
